Junzhiquan acts as the agent of Huawei in the lawsuit against SolarEdge

Huawei and SolarEdge, two major players in the photovoltaic industry, initiated a global series of patent litigations. In 2022, they reached a settlement and signed a global patent licensing agreement. In the series of litigations, Junzhiquan represented Huawei in five domestic cases, all of which yielded favorable results.

1. Named as one of the top ten typical cases of the Guangzhou Intellectual Property Court in 2020

In case (2019) Y73MC No. 510, the Guangzhou Intellectual Property Court rendered a judgment on August 7, 2020, ordering the three defendants to cease infringing Huaweis patent ZL201210038327.9 through manufacturing, selling, promising to sell, or using the patented technology. The court fully upheld Huaweis claim of RMB 10 million in damages along with RMB 500,000 in reasonable expenses. This case was named as one of the top ten typical cases of the Guangzhou Intellectual Property Court in 2020.

 

2. Successfully obtained an injunction in the lawsuit and full support for a substantial amount of damages

In case (2019) Y73MC No. 590, the Guangzhou Intellectual Property Court issued an injunction in the lawsuit on February 1, 2021, ordering the three defendants to immediately stop manufacturing, selling, or promising to sell the products that infringe upon Huaweis patent ZL201210065271.6. On February 9, 2021, the court rendered a judgment directing the three defendants to cease infringing Huaweis patent ZL201210065271.6 through manufacturing, selling, or promising to sell. The court fully upheld Huaweis claim for RMB 50 million in damages and RMB 500,000 in reasonable expenses.
